Kelly Ripa Pays Tribute To Husband Mark Consuelos

Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan got a boost of confidence Sunday night from the Daytime Emmy Awards.
Last night, she and co-host Michael Strahan won the Daytime Emmy for Best Entertainment Talk Show.
Ripa found out about Strahan’s depature just an hour before the announcement, while “Good Morning America” co-hosts Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos reportedly knew in advance.
Ripa quipped back, “Thanks, I’m still here”. “Unless one of them can come, she [Ripa] doesn’t really want to do it”, the insider said.
The win comes amid tension between the co-hosts, whose discord has been apparent to viewers since Strahan announced plans to accept a new job at Good Morning America. With Kelly and Michael at the ceremony in Los Angeles.

What was once thought to be ideal chemistry between the pint-sized Ripa and her giant NFL Hall of Fame co-host is now being re-examined through a jaded lense – and tension is seen all over in retrospect. “After 26 years with this company, I earned the right”, she said.
‘So what did you all do yesterday?’ asked Ripa as she sat down on Monday. Kelly, 45, and Regis, 84, previously co-hosted Live! with Regis and Kelly from 2001 until Regis’ departure from the show in 2011. Reports have speculated that Andy Cohen, Josh Groban, and Anderson Cooper are possible candidates as permanent replacements.

“I didn’t even realize we had won an Emmy until I started getting text messages from all of my friends”, added Kelly.
