Star Wars: Battlefront – New Game mode to be revealed tomorrow

More information about how the game is being gauged in IGN. DICE, an EA subsidiary, is still hard at work in making the title look and feel like it really deserves such designation, but the developer knows that it isn’t only them that is making this feat possible. Gamescom takes place in Cologne, Germany from August 5th to August 9th.

No actual details were revealed about the new multiplayer modes.

The team also stated that Gamescom attendees will be the among the first to, “go hands on with a new and unique gamemode”, adding, “fans of Starfighters are going to be excited about”.

Much has been made of the sprawling, open-field combat depicted in trailers for Electronic Arts’ Star Wars Battlefront.

There are now six multiplayer modes confirmed for the game.

There are a few other significant differences between “Blast” and “Walker Assault”. EA will also be showcasing the new Need for Speed, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, and more at the show.

The website speculated that next playable characters to join “Star Wars Battlefront” could be Luke’s allies Han Solo and Chewbacca, while Segment Next reportedly claimed that it could be Yoda, Qui-Gon Jun and Darth Maul.

The team are still working out on the best method to balance out the aforementioned Heroes and Villains in the game modes. With months away, the game is yet to please fans all over.

Players who preorder Star Wars: Battlefront will receive the free Battle of Jakku DLC, based on the upcoming Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens a week earlier on December 1.

DICE revealed a more traditional mode on Thursday with “Blast”, a Team Deathmatch mode for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC shooter.
