The emergency director in Garvin County, Bud Ramming, said a man believed to have been in his late 70s was found dead in a home.

In Johnston County, the sheriff’s office said another man was killed by a tornado near Connerville.
Oklahoma state authorities have shut down Interstate Highway 35 near Lake Thunderbird, Cleveland County.

The National Weather Service in Omaha reported at least one tornado touched down Monday afternoon near Nehawka, about 30 miles south of Omaha. Power poles and lines are down, and there were reports of loose cattle in the roadway.
Multiple tornados were reported in multiple locations, according to the weather service station in Norman, Oklahoma.
There is a severe thunderstorm watch west of Dallas through 9 p.m. including Palo Pinto, Erath and Comanche counties.
Most of eastern Oklahoma was included in an enhanced risk of severe storms by the Storm Prediction Center. The dry air behind that boundary is not conducive to severe weather.
Dana Lance was driving through the Pontotoc County town of Roff on her way home from work Monday when the skies grew ominous, and she heard tornado sirens and forecasters on the radio urging people in the area to take cover. Hail damage was reported in Lincoln, Nebraska. A storm earlier in the day killed a man in a home near Wynnewood.
There are no other fatalities or injuries reported at this time, however several homes have been hit. The owner wasn’t home, and arrived back at his property while it was being searched by first responders. They had issued at least 16 tornado warnings on Monday.

At least two people died in weather so violent that forecasters declared a “tornado emergency” for communities in the path of one of the twisters.
