Prom couple photobombed…by a tornado!

A young couple took a prom picture that’s a little different from the norm – there’s a massive tornado in the background.

Clint Marintzer said his wife, Heidi, took pictures of their daughter Ali with her date Charlie Bator as the menacing tornado formed a backdrop, though a safe distance away.

When Charlie Bator and Ali Marintzer saw a tornado in the distance on the night of their high school prom, the two students turned it into a one-of-a-kind photo opportunity.

However, the school delayed the start by around 45 minutes to make sure everyone was able to arrive safely, her mother added. A string of tornadoes bedeviled the small farming communities along the Colorado/Nebraska border Saturday as a spring storm swept across the Mid-Plains.

Marintzer snapped and captioned another pic herself: “Selfie ft”. And when Marintzer posted the image to Facebook, it went viral.

At least five people were injured in the eastern Colorado city of Wray after a tornado flipped tractors, ripped through outbuildings and destroyed mobile homes over the weekend.

Speaking in a telephone interview from his office in Goodland, Kan., Martin said that tornado also damaged some buildings and other structures.
