This Sunday will be my first Mother’s Day (if you count mothers of fetuses, which I certainly do).
Celebrate mom for the strong, awesome, loving and caring person that she is.
In Canada Mother’s Day is celebrated on the second Sunday in May and typically involves small celebrations and gift-giving to one’s mother, grandmother, or other important female figures in one’s family. They maintain balance in all their roles and give their best to every relationship. At Denny’s mom gets a free dessert when you order two entrees!
It also pertinent to be mentioned here that the US Congress had rejected a proposal to make Mother’s Day an official holiday in 1908, joking that they would have to proclaim also a “Mother-in-law’s Day”.
On the auspicious day of Mother’s Day, people sent SMS and celebrate the most auspicious occasion with mamma’s.

“They don’t say that the minute the baby is born and you look in their face that you’re happier than you’ve ever been and it doesn’t go away”.
Then why is it that most of us still consider our mom only as a parent, and not as a “friend”?

As a pastor, Mother’s Day is always bittersweet for me. I bought her some relatively low-cost turquoise earrings (less than $50) and wrote her a letter explaining the meaning behind the piece of jewelry. She is very caring and obedient. Karan Johar shared a sweet pic with his mother and tweeted, “A mother child dynamic is the Sholay of relationships…#happymothersday”. With the word work in your holiday you’re probably not getting a break that day. After all, that’s what my mother taught me.
