Court documents filed in Minnesota show Williams’ mother, Marsha Henson, stated that she had unprotected sex with Prince in July of 1976 in Kansas City.

Carlin Q. Williams filed paperwork in a Minnesota probate court Monday, in which he requested DNA testing.

Prince – whose full name was Prince Rogers Nelson – was found dead at age 57 at his Paisley Park home-studio complex on April 21. ABC reported that Williams is in prison for weapons transport.

Last week, Prince’s sister and four of his five half-siblings appeared in court to begin sorting out his multimillion-dollar estate.

Williams is the first known person to claim to be the singer’s long-lost child, writing “I Am Prince The Singer’s Son” on his social media websites, where he goes by the alias, 7princedracula.

A vial of Prince’s blood was taken before the singer was cremated, in anticipation of inheritance claims, the Daily Mail notes.

Judge Eide recognised there may be some claims from people insisting they are the rightful heirs to Prince’s fortune, so he gave Bremer Trust officials, who are administrating the estate, permission to have samples of Prince’s blood transferred from the Midwest Medical Examiner’s office to DNA Diagnostics Center of Fairfield, Ohio, for testing. If Williams’ claims turn out to be true, then he may also be the legal heir to Prince’s estate.

Dad? Though the late singer's body was cremated shortly after his death a vial of his blood was extracted and kept on file in order to use should any paternity claims arise
