“If plaintiff believes Mrs. Clinton’s testimony is required, it will request permission from the Court at the appropriate time“, he added.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said on Wednesday that the order marks “a significant victory for transparency and accountability”.

A federal judge has ruled that former Secretary of State and a USA presidential nominee Hillary Clinton may necessarily have to depose in a case against her that took place during her tenure in the State Department.

Based on what might be gleaned in those interviews, which are to be conducted over the next eight weeks, Sullivan says in his order a sworn deposition from Hillary Clinton “may be necessary”. The hacker told Fox News and NBC News that he hacked into Clinton’s server in 2013, after she left the State Department.

In response to the FOIA, the agency’s official records were searched regarding Abedin, but it turned out Clinton’s private server had not been searched.

Sanders has been undaunted at the challenge of catching up to Clinton, even though it would require taking two-thirds of delegates in the remaining states.

The Romanian hacker Marcel Lehel Lazar, also known as Guccifer has been extradited to the USA after claiming he got into Clinton’s email and also hacked her confidantes, including Sidney Blumenthal. U.S. District Court Judge Royce Lamberth, in a case over emails related to the Benghazi, Libya, Islamist attacks, was waiting for Sullivan’s order on discovery before issuing one of his own in the separate case. And in recent weeks, prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Virginia and their Federal Bureau of Investigation counterparts have been interviewing top Clinton aides as they seek to bring the case to a close. The department said it didn’t have access to those emails at the time.

The FBI and the Clinton campaign did not immediately respond to BuzzFeed News requests for comment Thursday.
