Devi is also facing the charge of harbouring her son Rocky Yadav who is accused of killing a class XIIth student Aditya Sachdeva in a case of road rage on Saturday night. Rocky, who is accused of shooting dead a teenager for overtaking his SUV, was earlier in the day sent to 14-day judicial custody by a Gaya Court.

Meanwhile, the state government on Wednesday ordered the arrest of Manorama Devi after liquor was found in her house during a raid on Monday night to find her fugitive son.
Gaya senior Superintendent of Police Garima Malik said that Rocky had confessed to the fatal shooting of businessman’s son Aditya Sachdeva on Saturday night for overtaking his vehicle on the Bodh Gaya-Gaya road.
A directive to arrest the MLC and seal her house was issued to the Gaya district administration by the state excise department as sale, consumption and possession of liquor is an offence in Bihar. “The party has suspended Manorama Devi for six years”, state JD (U) President Basistha Narayan Singh said.
According to Manorama’s affidavit filed at the time of her election to the Legislative Council, the house in Gaya belongs to her.

Earlier, a case was registered against her husband Bindi Yadav and son Rocky in connection with seizure of liquor bottles.

Registration, Excise and Prohibition Department Principal Secretary K.K. Pathak said she will be arrested soon.
