Donald Trump Defends Taco Bowl Tweet

In honor of Cinco de Mayo, presidential candidate Donald Trump, master of diplomacy, posted a photo of himself eating a taco salad. According to the tweet it was that “The best taco bowls are at Trump Tower Grill!”
Hispanic-Americans represent an increasingly important voting bloc in the United States, which Trump needs to appeal to in order to get to the White House.
Twitter immediately reacted to Trump’s festive photo.
She used to be Donald Trump’s taco belle.
See, he’s not racist.
“I believe the world is just a better place when we can keep the peace”, Maples said at the time.
“What Trump says he’ll do as president: deport millions of immigrants”, she tweeted, along with a video that included Spanish subtitles.
Not everyone piled on Trump. “Rage on, handsome butterflies”, tweeted plainy.
Trump said Friday he disagreed with the criticism over the post.
Trump has also repeatedly called for the ejection of some 11 million undocumented immigrants and is insistent that a wall be built between the USA and Mexico.
While Hillary Clinton is getting panned for pandering, Trump is hardly veiling his goal of winning over Hispanic voters.
Polls have shown that the Republican nominee has had a persistent problem with the demographic, with a Gallup poll in March showing a 12 percent approval rating and a 77 percent negative approval rating among Hispanics.
Since Ted Cruz and John Kasich dropped out of the race, Donald Trump and his handlers have said he would start to act a bit more “presidential”.
‘I think it’s pretty amusing that [Trump] kept all of the terrible messages on his picture but [kicked one off] that was kind of a joke, ‘ she added to Buzzfeed. “People will be amazed”.

Almost as entertaining were the avalanche of tweets in response, from the inevitable photos of people eating all kinds of ethnic foods and declaring “I love Asians”, “I love Italians”, etc.
