Heat power past Raptors to tie NBA play-off series

They’ve done it with Damon Stoudamire and Tracy McGrady.

Looking at the statistics, it easy to wonder how the Raptors were even close.

But first you have to figure out which Wade you’re going to shout about.

The Cavaliers went 1-2 against both the Heat and Raptors during the regular season, with both wins coming at the “Q”.

Playing for the first time since he was injured in Game 4 of the first-round series against Houston, Curry was rusty for three quarters and sensational down the stretch after the Warriors trailed by as much as 16 points.

Or is this a multiple choice question: The answer being all of the above?

The move drew criticism from many, including Canadian politicians, and Wade responded by saying that a timing issue caused the mishap. He should take it as a compliment.

It doesn’t seem to have helped.

The Miami-Toronto series has been extremely tight, with the Raptors outscoring the Heat so far 287-285.

“It’s going to be small-ball with a smaller center”, Toronto’s Kyle Lowry said. And then paused for half a second. I don’t know that there is someone tougher in the National Basketball Association pound for pound. And he’s very respectful. and I saw how how it was misinterpreted and we all made the change (as a team) yesterday and will continue to do that.

However, if Hassan Whiteside pulls on the jersey, I’d have to think about this all over again.

Dwayne Wade responded after the game, taking offense to the notion that he is a disrespectful person. They struggled to hit threes to the tune of 1-for-15 for the game, but their relentless pressure in the paint gained them a nine-point advantage at the half. Wade was consistent all night and scored 30 points, including a steal and dunk in the final seconds to put the game out of reach. He’s scoring at eight more points than he scored during the season, which is what Hall of Famers can and will do.

How long did it take Curry to get acclimated with the Warriors? Hall of Famers they are not.

Maybe being at home will give the Heat the fuel they need to roar past the Raptors, as Toronto will head down to the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, Florida on May 9 for Game 4 of the NBA Playoffs.

For the majority of the game, the older Heat chose to quicken the pace.

In the wake of a painful overtime loss in Miami, Raptors coach Dwane Casey says he’s sleeping like a baby – “waking up and crying”.

“When he goes in a crowd now, they are going after his thumb and rightfully so”.

“Personally I’m pissed”, he said. “It’s the work that he has put in”.

“When Steph would have a game like this a year ago, (former Warriors assistant) Alvin Gentry would say I’ve got two plays for you”.

Kerr said he expected to have to limit Curry’s minutes Monday to about 25. Biyombo, who was having a great game, wouldn’t see more than 10 second in overtime.

If the Warriors get Curry back – he’s listed as doubtful – then the emotional lift would be seismic.
