Michigan high school lacrosse players may have killed animal
According to local media reports, up to 18 members of the Grosse IIe lacrosse team have been accused of murdering the animal and smearing its blood on their faces earlier this month.

“Allegedly some of the team members got together before a game and killed an animal”, Porcerelli said in an e-mail.
They went on to lose the game against the Dexter Deadnoughts 13-6.
The school has since suspended all future games while the police department conducts an investigation.
In an alleged case of one lacrosse team’s bonding taken to a bloody extreme, however, the violence was not aimed at humans but at a small animal, possibly a guinea pig.
Local 4 is told one student actually drank its blood and potentially two or three others made a decision to smear the guinea pig’s blood on their faces.
The school district’s superintendent Joanne Lelekatch confirmed they learned on Monday that members of the team were “engaged in cruelty to an animal”.
It’s unclear whether the act was committed by members of the school’s varsity team or its junior varsity team. Lelekatch said. “Once law enforcement has completed its investigation, we will be in a position to assess the facts and circumstances and, if necessary, apply our student or athletic handbooks”.

She went on to say that out of respect for student privacy, the school will not make any further comment. “That’s the serial killer kind of stuff”.
