Westbrook leads Thunder past Spurs, 95-91, for 3-2 lead
Kawhi Leonard finished with 26 points for San Antonio, which lost at home once in the regular season and has dropped two straight there now. While Westbrook began to drive the ball to the hoop, Leonard went to foul him and didn’t get the call.

Tony Parker missed the second of free throws to make it to 92-91.
Even if Westbrook misses shots, the Thunder aren’t concerned.
The Oklahoma City Thunder won in San Antonio for the second time in the series and now have a 3-games-to-2 lead as the series heads back to Oklahoma City. Westbrook was tremendous throughout the entire game, and almost tallied a triple-double with 35 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds. This Thunder team has the same opportunity on Thursday, when Game 6 of this series is played at Chesapeake Energy Arena. After its first-round dismissal of Memphis and its Game 1 annihilation of the Thunder, the Spurs were 43-1 at home.
What does the OKC win mean for the San Antonio Spurs?
CITY (AP) – Father Time can be awfully sneaky. Leonard said he “definitely fouled him” on the initial attempt, but Westbrook continued turning the corner and attacking the rim.
Just watch this play. For most of the game we were up.
With four minutes left to play, a Kawhi Leonard dunk gave San Antonio an 88-82 advantage.
“He dictated how we wanted to play”, Durant said. So he had all levels working tonight. It’s not like he’s getting awful shots.
Oklahoma City outrebounded San Antonio 54-36. Feeling it a bit, Westbrook pulled up for a miss at the top of the key on the next possession, but was able to corral his own long miss before zipping a pass to Kanter for an easy layup to tie the game. “It worked out well for both of us”.
The Thunder’s New Zealand centre Steven Adams had another strong game with 12 points, 11 rebounds and one steal.
Westbrook settled in after an erratic first half in which he committed six of the Thunder’s 13 first-half turnovers. He only had two turnovers after halftime.
Russel Westbrook willed his team time after time in every quarter to come back from a lead by the Spurs.
Leonard led all scorers with 17 first-half points, while Westbrook paced the Thunder with 14 points and Durant had 12 before the break.
Mills sank two jump shots for four points and had four rebounds in nearly 16 minutes on the court.
Game 5 of round two between the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder was decided last night in San Antonio. The Thunder bodied the Spurs on the wings and then collapsed fully when San Antonio attempted to attack the lane.
Green added 20 points, going 6 for 9 shooting on 3-pointers.
In Game 4, Kevin Durant went off. In Game 5, it was Russell Westbrook’s turn. The last 22 times a trio of Spurs scored 20 or more in a playoff game, one of the Big 3 was involved.
But it was a disappointing night for veterans Parker and Tim Duncan. In Game 4, Duncan was 1 for 6 from the field and scored five points in 28 minutes. His 250 postseason games are nine shy of the record held by former Lakers guard Derek Fisher, and his 157 wins trail only Fisher’s 161.

“I didn’t see the replay clear enough”, Green said. “I just know he does a good job setting screens for them”.
