Deflategate News: NFL Upholds Tom Brady Suspension, Patriots Quarterback Files

The NFL accused Brady of obstructing the league’s investigation by having his cellphone destroyed just before he met with investigators in March.

Appearing at team headquarters Wednesday, a day after NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell upheld a four-game suspension of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, Kraft angrily targeted the league for its handling of the case.

Tom Brady’s statement on Facebook this morning that he did nothing to warrant a four-game suspension over the “Deflategate” scandal seems to be uncompromising but even some rabid Patriots fans don’t buy it.

But Brady said as a member of the NFL players union, he was not going to hand his mobile phone over anyway, and that he was never told that failing to do so would result in any discipline.

So, while the Ravens gear up to face future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning when they play the Denver Broncos on September 13, the Steelers will miss the Patriots’ Canton-bound quarterback in Week 1, and gain a better opportunity to topple the defending Super Bowl champions.

The Patriots’ odds to win the Super Bowl now sit at 9-to-1.

“It is completely incomprehensible to me that the league continues to take steps to disparage one of its all-time great players, and a man for whom I have the utmost respect”, Kraft said.

Additionally, U.S. District Judge David Doty has heard many cases related to the NFL and has at times sided with the NFLPA, including when he overturned the suspension of Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.

The lawsuit objects to the NFL’s recent ruling that the Patriots schemed to seek an advantage by deflating footballs during the 2015 AFC Championship Game.

“Brady tried to claim it was “ordinary practice” to have his old cell phone destroyed after he got a new one, which is nearly as convenient an excuse as the bozos he entrusted to do his dirty work claiming they were talking about weight loss when they used the term ‘deflator.'”.

The NFL filed a complaint in federal court in Manhattan to confirm the Brady suspension.

“We believe we’ve been very transparent”, Yee said.

Aaron Shea, a former teammate of Brady’s at Michigan who had No. 12 as a groomsman in his wedding, said that it’s common practice for the ultra-famous Brady to discard of his cellphone.

Tom Brady is back on the field, and that might be the only thing coach Bill Belichick wants to talk about.

“I just think that it is stupid”, said Eliot seventh grader Will Casey.

He says there’s no smoking gun and the controversy is manufactured to distract from the league having no evidence of wrongdoing. He will be allowed to attend participate in Patriots training camp, but is expected to take “less than 50% of the snaps” while Jimmy Garoppolo will get the majority of first team reps.
