Bournemouth boss Howe has sympathy for Everton’s Martinez
Cape Town – Everton goalkeeper Joel Robles feels Roberto Martinez is the right man for the Everton job amid reports he could be sacked at the end of the campaign. Everton recently lost the Manchester United in the FA Cup although they played well in the second half and got thrashed 4-0 by crosstown rival Liverpool.

“I can understand we have been through a very painful time but we had high hopes; we wanted to get into the final and we have had eight (league) defeats at home”.
According to the Telegraph, Martinez could be dismissed next week if the meeting of the directors and Saturday’s Premier League game against Bournemouth go badly for Martinez.
“We are probably closer than ever of finding a way to challenge for silverware and I am looking at the last three seasons”.
Everton, who take on Bournemouth this weekend, have had a disappointing season and now find themselves 11th in the Premier League – closer on points to the relegation zone than European qualification.
Everton manager Roberto Martinez refused to comment on supporter protests against his leadership following his side’s 2-1 win over Bournemouth on Saturday.
Everton face a battle to keep hold of 25-goal striker Lukaku and England centre-back Stones with several of Europe’s top clubs expected to come calling for the pair in the summer.
The Republic of Ireland worldwide suffered the injury during the home win against south-coast rivals Southampton at the beginning of March and has played just 45 minutes of football since.
His every touch was cheered and the ironic exhortations to shoot every time he got the ball summed up the mood amongst the home fans, namely that they are virtually past caring this term.
“We’re desperate to win, we’re desperate to succeed as a group”.
The Toffees are now 11th in the Premier League table.
The home side had the flawless start when Cleverley put them a goal to the good in the seventh minute.
“I thought Callum did really well, he’s had a long period out and we’ve eased him back”, Howe said.
