Myles Jack calls draft slide ‘humiliating,’ wants to prove everyone wrong
Projected to be a Top 5 pick by many, former UCLA linebacker Myles Jack was left untouched in the first round of the draft. At his March 15 Pro Day, Jack was impressive with a 40-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-4-inch standing broad jump, but he did not run the 40 and only took part in some positions drills.

Ramsey said he felt the vibe in Jacksonville on his pre-draft visit and during Friday’s introductory press conference said he feels the Jaguars are a ideal fit for him.
But with so much on the line with a first round pick, Jack’s injury risks simply weren’t worth it. He dropped out of the first round completely.
It didn’t take long to hear his name on Friday. Then he got the call Friday in a hotel room in Chicago. But when asked about taking Myles Jack – an elite player when healthy but at risk for a serious knee injury – Caldwell didn’t mince words when talking about what their philosophy would be going forward. I think the player we should all keep our eye on tonight is Leonard Floyd. They traded up a few spots in the second round to grab Jack, another tremendous pick.
That’s all done at this point, and Jack is going to the Jaguars.
Jacksonville has not made a playoff appearance since 2007.
With the 36th overall pick, the Jaguars selected UCLA linebacker Myles Jack.
The knee proves to be a major concern as the Bruins versatile linebacker falls all the way into the second round of the draft.
Since 2007, the Jaguars have gone 39-89 overall, with the best mark coming in 2010 at 8-8. Jack responded Thursday by posting a video of him dunking a basketball.
On one hand, Jack presumably just wanted to be selected.
“I didn’t really have any nerves to be honest”.
The Jaguars have nearly unanimously received praise for “stealing” Myles Jack in the second round, but he might not even be the biggest steal in the team’s draft class.

“I don’t know how far”, Mayock said. You’re basically giving yourself two first round picks in 2017, because Smith likely won’t play this year. He is adamant that he’ll be at rookie minicamp.
