Where was Nick Fury in Captain America: Civil War?
Cap wants to back up his former best friend, but the guy committed some pretty shady acts while brainwashed, some of them very hard to defend. “Captain America” comics have been around for quite some time and so has the movies.

The 13th installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is one that many have been looking forward to, and with good reason.
Markus also added that, as the parent figure and mentor to the Avengers, not including Nick Fury also meant that Iron Man and Captain America had no-one else to turn to and had to try and solve their differences without his “governing voice”. Tasked with keeping Cap from making things worse and creating a PR nightmare for the team, Iron Man stands against him, with the Avengers team splitting in half over ideological differences. Rogers thinks it’s bullshit and won’t sign. Something feels like it’s missing to take it to the next level, and it took me a while to put my finger on it. SPOILER ALERT: The following comments are generic in nature, but certainly could be construed as spoilers.
The movie’s villain is not someone kids will be dressing like for Halloween, but it doesn’t matter much if he’s not as imposing or memorable as other comic-book baddies. Moviegoers will be taken aback by the monumental showdown between Captain America and Iron Man. With its political tones rivaling those of its predecessors, this newest instalment to the Captain America film franchise will resonate with audiences. Loaded with incredible action, a fantastic script, emotional performances, and the flawless introductions of both Spider-Man and Black Panther, Civil War is one of those special films that you’ll want to see again and again. He doesn’t need a long setup. Is this really any different from when a male chauvanist says that a lesbian he knows just hasn’t found the right man. Please, internet – let Captain America be Captain America.
Conspicuously missing are Hulk and Thor.
Civil War is a Captain America movie only by title, and loose bits of the story. Either way, Captain America fans still love the superhero. But every once in a while we come across that little something that makes that youthful bliss abound, and while I sat in the theater about to watch Captain America: Civil War, there was no stopping it from leaping forth in me. Not even the mid-credits scene, which is where many fans expected he might make an appearance, contained a trace of his purple mug.

The movie is a triumph of Marvel’s approach to storytelling. It has two extra scenes.
