Trump starts fundraising as costly campaign awaits

Ohio Governor John Kasich has dropped out of the presidential race after struggling to gain traction against Republican front-runner Donald Trump, reports said yesterday.

He also said he’s hoping to decide within a week how to fund a general election campaign, but said he didn’t want to accept money from super PACs. I don’t really like hitting people first. I think that’s just downright risky. “People will be voting for me, they’re not voting for the party”.

Despite Trump’s frequent claims to the contrary, he trails Clinton, his most likely opponent, in almost every hypothetical general-election poll thus far – often by wide margins.

“Well, I’ll see what they do with me, I mean if they are fair, I’ll be fair”, said Trump on NBC’s Nightly News with Lester Holt. “She knows how to get her message out”, Zepecki said.

“Other capable Democrat candidates decided not to run, because this is a bad year for Democrats to run for president”, said Shapiro, alluding to the difficulty of getting elected to succeed a two-term president from the same party. “And as I suspend my campaign today, I have renewed faith, deeper faith, that the Lord will show me the way forward, and fulfill the goal of my life”.

“We continue to give voice to the belief of so many Republicans that Trump is not a conservative, does not represent the values of the Republican Party, can not beat Hillary Clinton, and is simply unfit to be president of the United States”, she said in a statement.

Trump’s takeover of the GOP marks one of the most stunning political feats in modern political history.

Trump, a brash, onetime television reality-show host, said he is putting together a committee to help him choose his vice presidential running mate.

Trump is so close to the 1,237 delegates he needs to win the GOP nomination on the first ballot at the convention that it seems inevitable.

Kasich will announce the end of his underdog White House bid on Wednesday, according to three campaign officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the candidate’s plans.

Over the course of the past 10 months, the 69-year-old Trump – a Manhattan real estate mogul with no political experience – has defied the odds, dispatching more than a dozen rivals with more conventional political pedigrees.

Of facing Clinton, Trump says, “A lot’s going to depend on how they treat me”.

“Our country is doomed”, Hunter told Geary was another text he got. And for her part, Clinton has released an advert against Trump which features exclusively Republicans slamming Trump. “We saw the stark difference between my husband’s presidency and George W Bush who went back to trickle down economics which is also what Donald Trump is advocating”, she said.
