Governor to Expand Planned Parenthood Probe after 2nd Undercover Video Surfaces

“As a doctor, I’m shocked and disgusted by the video of a Planned Parenthood official that raises serious ethical questions about the organization’s possible participation in fetal tissue trafficking”, Boustany said.

Mary Gatter, president of Planned Parenthood’s medical director council, is seen in the video discussing prices for tissue donations. The edited video splices together portions of their conversation discussing compensation for intact tissues from abortions.

Senator Joe Scarnati (R), president pro tem of the Senate, and Rep. Mike Turzai (R), speaker of the House, wrote a letter to Kane July 17 citing federal law, and the state’s Abortion Control Act, as prohibiting the sale of fetal organs or tissue.

A new undercover video has been released, showing a senior official of Planned Parenthood bargaining about the price of organs harvested from aborted babies.

The video sparked a firestorm of outrage and prompted investigations into Planned Parenthood’s sale of human fetal organs in Congress and seven states.

“It is unfathomable that there are people in this world that exploit abortions to this extent”.

In another portion of the video, she appears to suggest that abortion procedures could be modified in a few cases to get more intact fetuses.

Update: And, right on schedule, the Center has released a new video that again tries but fails to prove Planned Parenthood sells tissue.

Planned Parenthood has found itself in the middle of another firestorm.

However, a Planned Parenthood spokeswoman tells KSTP.com that Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota – which is a separately incorporated Planned Parenthood organization – doesn’t have a fetal tissue donation program, so there is nothing to investigate.

Released undercover videos have prompted the Missouri Attorney General to open an investigation into Planned Parenthood.

But this latest video proves otherwise.

Fetal tissue has been used in medicine for decades. That could leave federal funding for Planned Parenthood possibly in the balance. “We were spending money on other stuff and I didn’t want to double spend that money”, Christie said.

The committee will have 7 senators and is tasked with conducting “an in-depth analysis” of Planned Parenthood and the “methods by which they dispose human remains and aborted fetuses”.
