Stormchasers capture unbelievable footage of weekend tornadoes in Oklahoma, Colorado

The tornado left a path that was half a mile wide and six miles long.

A video posted on YouTube by AccuWeather captured the happenings from up close.

Storm-chasers report that this tornado travelled for about 16 kilometres on the ground.

Structures, both homes and businesses, have been damaged, with the most significant damage reported in northeast Yuma County.

The tornado also scattered debris across the city as it knocked over several trees and caused significant damage.

“We prayed and we were grateful that the weather was not so good this weekend, because I’m afraid that if everybody would’ve been here lives would’ve been lost”, Jeanne Welham said. “It’s coming!” Maria yells in sheer excitement as the two storm-chasers watch the tornado form before their eyes.
