Yakubu said eight of the workers were rescued unhurt, while the remaining eight were rushed to the hospital.
“It should be noted that our party lost a member from ward 4, Abeokuta South Local Government in person of Mrs. Naimat Oloponda in this incident and we commiserate with her family and others affected”.
A statement by the Honourable Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Adedayo Adeneye, stated that eight of them were rescued un-hurt, five who sustained different degrees of injuries were receiving treatment at the state hospital Ijaiye, Abeokuta, adding that one was critically injured, while two have been discharged.
