Possible Drone Spotted By Crew Of Plane Landing At JFK
A Delta airplane attempting to land at a New York airport on Friday narrowly avoided hitting an unmanned aircraft, as stated by the FAA.

A spokesman for Delta Airlines told Eyewitness News that flight 407 was heading from Orlando, Florida, to New York’s JFK worldwide Airport.
The crew reported an airborne object near the path to the runway at JFK. Talking with Air Traffic Control, the pilot reports seeing a drone on the southwest side of the plane about 100 feet below.
The NYPD’s press office says it has not yet been informed of an incident of this nature.
The plane, an MD88 with five crew members and 154 customers on board, did not take evasive action and landed without incident, reported by the FAA. Cockpit: No its not close enough to be able to tell.
