BEREA, Ohio- The Cleveland Browns have agreed to contracts with six of their 14 picks from the 2016 NFL Draft, including first-round selection Corey Coleman.

Rookie quarterback Cody Kessler, who went to USC, knew the weather would be bad in Cleveland. The first week in an National Football League camp is usually a significant adjustment for rookies, so I trust in Hue when he says, “I am not anxious about where these young guys are right now”. “They wouldn’t draft me in the first round if they didn’t think I could come in and help”.

“He’s a little bit the mirror image of us, where he’s got a chip on his shoulder, there’s a lot of noise about him on the outside, and he’s a tremendous teammate, really passionate about football, wants to learn and get better, wants to be coached hard, wants to be the best he can be”, Brown said.

“I think it’s very important that these guys have got to assimilate themselves into what we’ve already established”.

Cleveland Browns coach Hue Jackson speaks to the media.

“At some point in time, I’m sure with Sashi and myself, we’ll make a decision on which direction to go, and it will be the right time”. “He’s got to get in shape. Now it’s time to get back into football shape”. I just pointed this out because I think the guy’s very talented, and I think if anything I think his eyes really opened about where he needs to get to very fast, and I think he’s very excited to do it because he knows what it’s going to take to play up here. That’s not going to happen right this second.

Signed to a 2-year deal in the offseason, Griffin appears to be the early favorite. That’s why they call us coaches.

Although he is transitioning from a 4-3 defensive front to a 3-4 and taking on a new position, if the Browns can utilize his athleticism to attack the quarterback then it should be a natural transition. “We’re not there now, but we always want to be developing quarterbacks here, multiple”.

The rookies reported to minicamp on Thursday. “He’s got to earn the starting job and then be able to show that he can lead our offense in a manner that’s going to allow us to be successful to compete for this division and, ultimately, for the Super Bowl”.
