It’s no easy task diving into George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire book saga upon which HBO’s Game of Thrones is based.
For example, users can search themes or specific events to bring up relevant passages from the books, without having to slog through thousands of pages. Here’s something that’ll encourage you to read them – an official Game of Thrones App!
So if you’ve ever wanted to read just how the infamous “Red Wedding” was written, you can find it on the app. And, if you’re not fully caught up with the show, you can tell the app which seasons you have seen.
One would think sampling excerpts from the books out of context would be confusing given the number of differences – and increasingly so – between Martin’s novels and the show.
And they tend to have an insight into what’s going to happen on the small screen. And don’t worry about authenticity – George R.R. Martin himself, alongside fans of the series, had input into the app’s development.
The app still looks to be useful for even those who are 100 percent up to speed on the books and show as a one-stop resource as well.
