Tensions Flare, State Chairwoman Flees in Delegate Dispute at Nevada Democratic Convention
They are upset over the way the convention ended at the Paris hotel-casino and were concerned that certain Sanders delegates were not being counted. Within minutes of the rally Sanders addressed threats to the USA political system, like Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s support of “Citizens United” a Supreme Court case allowing unlimited election spending, which has according to Sanders further pushed the US democracy into an oligarchy. “You want to boo Bernie, boo me”.

There had been a controversy for hours Saturday evening concerning the validity of 64 Sanders delegates and alternates.
“As someone who’s seen a lot of mean things said, I know it can be hurtful”. “So if you can imagine the kind of governor Gov. Bevin is, think about Bernie Sanders as a president doing exactly the opposite”. She won by 33 delegates in a field of almost 3,400. “They’re not Democrats, these kids”, said Howard Dean, a 2004 Democratic primary candidate and a Clinton surrogate. However, Sanders has won 10 of the past 12 state contests, which is inspiring the Vermont senator to keep his campaign alive through the remaining nine Democratic contests and the party’s nominating convention in July. When the state caucused in late February, the fourth state on the calendar for the Democratic Party, the results of that process favored Hillary Clinton.
On Sunday, President Obama became the first sitting USA president to give the commencement speech at New Jersey’s Rutgers University, celebrating its 250th anniversary this year.
Sanders national communications director Michael Briggs didn’t have immediate comment on the events in Nevada when reached by phone on Sunday morning. We think the Democrats are the ones who are going to have to have a very narrow way to victory.
“I’m the only candidate who has put on the table a plan for coal country”, Hillary Clinton said in Louisville on Sunday.
It is unclear if that effort will pay off, but Sanders is expected to benefit from Clinton’s troubles. It’s no secret that we’ve from time-to-time clashed on an issue or two that happens with people that happens with Republicans.
Clinton has raised $213.5 million from 1.2 million donors through the end of April, though her campaign declined to say how much came in online.
“What we have learned throughout this campaign is we do well when the voter turnout is high”. That’s a place where, unlike eight years ago when she lost Jefferson County to Barack Obama, she could show unexpected strength against Sanders in one of the state’s liberal enclaves.
Sanders issued a statement Friday, as tensions simmered before the convention, saying all Democrats shared the common goals of defeating Donald Trump and electing Democrats to office. But when the opportunity to cover a chaotic and messy convention presented itself the mainstream media was largely silent.

As you can imagine, the rest of Sanders’ supporters on Twitter aren’t happy.
