Christie: Republican primary rivals lack policy specifics
“If you’re getting high in Colorado today, enjoy it”, Christie said Tuesday during a Newport, New Hampshire, town-hall meeting, Bloomberg reports. But, he says, “Where’s the beef?”

“Listen, if the son and the brother of a former president doesn’t get establishment support, then he shouldn’t even be in the ring”, Christie said during an appearance on Fox’s The Five – asserting that he had enough money to be competitive in the race.
His challenge was underscored Thursday when a Quinnipiac University poll found Christie slipped to tenth place nationally, his lowest showing since the group began polling for the 2016 presidential primary.
He says he is running the most detailed campaign, pointing to policy speeches he’s delivered on entitlement overhaul, national security and several other issues.
Rand Paul has gone the farthest: While he doesn’t support legalization, he has co-sponsored a bill to end the federal ban on medical marijuana and has advocated an end to harsh criminal penalties for possession. “And when you walk in with a broad stroke saying I’m going to take this away, it could negatively affect Chris Christie”.
“That came from a president of his own party”, Christie said. One year after the law went into effect, more than 90% of those who voted for the measure said their minds had not been changed on the issue.
Consumption of Marijuana in states like Colorado, Washington, Oregon and Alaska is legal. Another one: Trump’s “great line” about building a wall at the U.S.-Mexico border and somehow forcing Mexico to pay for it.
Booker also bemoaned the state of the region’s transportation infrastructure, which he said is in crisis. Meanwhile, Christie’s sharp marijuana opposition has alienated commentators on both sides of the political spectrum, from Jon Stewart to Greg Gutfeld. Christie bought a beer for another older man – $4 to cover his $2 brew – and joked that when Trump comes through, the man should get $100 out of him.

“First of all I didn’t blow up, so let’s stop this”, Christie said. So as odd as it may seem, within a few years a majority of Republican voters might actually favor legalization.
