Rubio not under consideration for VP pick
Ben Carson praised legendary newsman Walter Cronkite Monday as a journalist who kept his personal politics out of his reporting – something the former presidential candidate said is lacking in the media today.

In an interview with the Washington Post, Carson was told he was at the top of a list of the most-liked potential vice presidential candidates.
“Well, not you”, his wife observed.
Rubio has been adamant that he’s not interested in the job of Trump’s running mate, telling CNN’s Jake Tapper last week that the real estate mogul should stick to candidates who “agree with him on his issues”.
Carson, a Trump surrogate playing a lead role in his vice presidential search, said that he was not being considered.
In early May, Trump said he was open to either Cruz or Kasich serving as his running mate.
“This is something that is extremely undesirable to me, as is any government post, quite frankly” he said on CNN’s “New Day”.
Trump laid out other names in April, saying in an interview with USA Today that Rubio was among the potential VP picks.
“Well, I want to help and not hurt….” “I wouldn’t want to be a burden on the ticket, and I realize in many, many eyes, I would be that burden”.

Donald Trump announces his presidential candidacy in New York City. “I wouldn’t put those things out for everybody to know”. “My differences with Donald, both my reservations about his campaign and my policy differences with him are well-documented”. “But I am convinced [the conservative] movement – the men and women gathered here – will be the remnant, will be the core of pulling this country back from the abyss”.
