Barbra Streisand to perform at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena this summer
Barbra Streisand, who previous year became the only recording artist or group to achieve number 1 albums in each of six decades, will bring her legendary live performances to 9 cities in August, it was announced today by her longtime manager Marty Erlichman.

The best-selling female recording artist in history, Streisand partners with some of Hollywood’s biggest stars to sing Broadway classics on her upcoming album.
The 74-year-old show business legend, whose name tops the “residency” wish list for Las Vegas casino promoters, will perform her career hits as well as those from her next album, “Encore: Movie Partners Play Broadway”. As of yet, it’s unknown what songs Streisand will be singing on the album, or who she will be singing them with.
It will be the third album of Broadway classics by Streisand, who had her start on the NY stage before becoming a leading force both in film and music.
With the album, Streisand became the first artist to reach number one on the Billboard chart over six consecutive decades.
Streisand is launching a multiple-city tour this summer.
Streisand billed a 2000 concert tour as a farewell run, but returned to the road in 2006 and 2012.

She first played the Riviera as Liberace’s “extra added attraction” in 1963. There was no mention of this summer’s performances being a farewell tour.
