Sinead O’Connor reported missing
Police in suburban Chicago have put out a well-being check for Irish singer and musician Sinead O’Connor.

Police said no other information was immediately available.
Earlier today, police in Chicago launched an investigation when they were told the singer had not been seen since she went on a bicycle ride in the suburb of Wilmette yesterday morning.
Paradigm Talent Agency, which represents O’Connor, declined comment when reached by The Associated Press earlier Monday.
This past November, O’Connor was found safe and sound after writing that she had “taken an overdose” in what appeared to be a suicidal post on her Facebook page.
The Irish singer-songwriter is perhaps best known for her recording of Prince’s song “Nothing Compares 2 U” and her appearance on “Saturday Night Live” when she tore a photo of Pope John Paul II during a live performance. She had also claimed that Hall had once “spiked” her drink with an unknown drug at a party.
While the neighborhood where she is believed to have disappeared is a relatively safe one, authorities and loved ones are reportedly concerned about O’Connor’s capacity for self harm.
In 1990, some U.S radio stations refused to play her music after she banned the “Star-Spangled Banner” from her show in New Jersey. This protest was years ahead of the child sex abuse scandal involving priests that would rock the Catholic Church.
Over the years O’Connor has voiced support for other young female performers facing intense public scrutiny, including Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus.
Many fans are asking for jokes surrounding the singer to stop, with many making light of her reported past struggles with mental illness.

She has experienced health problems during her career and in 2012 cancelled a tour because she was “very unwell due to bipolar disorder”.
