“Bernie Sanders is really good at identifying a problem, but he’s not good at actually taking the problem and creating policy that’s going to support the people that have been disenfranchised”, said Clinton supporter Darrian Traw. Bernie Sanders this month as he insists it will make a big difference if he somehow ekes out a June 7 California primary win over former secretary of state Hillary Clinton.
The contest between Clinton and Barack Obama in 2008 seemed to end amicably enough. “The success of Nevada Democrats up and down the ballot in November depends on it”. Sanders kept to his main points at the rally, sticking to most of the positions that have garnered him support from millions of Democrats and Independents alike. Only eight Clinton delegates were disqualified under the same rules.
Going into Tuesday, Mrs Clinton has 1,716 pledged delegates from primaries and caucuses, compared with 1,433 for Mr Sanders. State party officials said the would-be delegates didn’t provide acceptable identification and did not meet the May 1 deadline to register as Democrats. Sherrod Brown. Kaine, a popular figure in Clinton’s orbit who speaks fluent Spanish, would play more to moderates in swing states.
The tensions between the two camps were palpable in the course of the debate over delegate qualifications.
Sanders supporters upset with the proceedings staged a protest outside the Nevada State Democratic Party headquarters on Sunday, writing in sidewalk chalk “Roberta Lange murdered democracy” and “Fire Roberta”. “Go ahead, boo yourselves out of this election”.
KTOO: Was there anything you were disappointed in or not so excited about in the whole process?
“I got here at 4:00 this morning, because I want to meet Bernie, I want to meet him”, says Clement. “But the best way to fight our disappointment is to make sure that we stay here and make sure that Senator Bernie Sanders wins today”. “This allowed the State Party to properly adjourn the State Convention”. Then the lights were turned off and the delegates left the premises.
Sanders, who was holding a campaign rally in Kentucky on Sunday, told hundreds of his supporters that the so-called super delegates or top party members picked whoever they wished regardless of a candidate’s performance in the primary elections.
“If you don’t think that that is what is happening, you are not paying attention”, Sanders said to roaring applause.
The next Democratic primary will be held in Kentucky on Tuesday, May 17. Out of almost 3,400 qualified state-level delegates who showed up, Clinton had 33 more than Sanders.

Clinton’s style typically is to hunker down for as long as it takes for storms to pass, a stark contrast to presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump.
