Called, naturally, Spaces, the service is available on the Web, and will be rolling out mobile apps on Android and iOS. Apple’s partnership with SAP “has the potential to attract millions of enterprise app developers to the platform” says Apigee’s Greg Brail, who also says SAP’s API security will help encourage more developers to use them. When someone shares something new to a space, the conversational view lets you see what the group is talking about without missing a beat. New shares from conversation participants to the group appear in a “conversation view” – threaded messages attached to shared items, basically – and are archived for posterity. The app, available for Android and iOS, is created to make it easier to share stuff from the web in group conversations by embedding Google Search, YouTube, and Chrome within the app. And when you need to reference something-book suggestions, a realtor’s name, hotel reservations-the quick-search function finds it. So rather than jumping from one app to the other to look for specific content, you will be able to search everything from within a single app. The Gboard’s premier feature is the ability to peruse the search engine without leaving your phone’s keyboard. Google just created another social network and it’s a loaded gun pointed right at Facebook (NASDAQ:FB). Other than this, it seems that Google will throw in quite a handful of surprises as well.

Once a “Space” is created you then start filling it with content, and that’s where Google ingenuity comes in, because where do you normally find that content? What do you think about the app?
