Costa left out of Spain’s Euro 2016 squad
Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea all see some of their top-stars miss out on a spot for back-to-back European Championship winners Spain, with Vicente Del Bosque having an embarrassment of riches to choose from. Aduriz scored 35 goals this season for club and country.

Costa endured a difficult start to the season with Chelsea, scoring just three league goals before Jose Mourinho was sacked in December, though he showed a marked improvement under Guus Hiddink which led to fans criticising him for not playing hard enough under Mourinho.
The Blues striker was ruled out of the final two Premier League games, against Liverpool and Leicester, after picking up a hamstring injury.
Diego Costa has been left out of Spain’s provisional Euro 2016 squad, with Athletic Bilbao veteran Aritz Aduriz earning a place.
Diego Costa has not been named in the provisional 25-man squad.
Another casualty is Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata, with the likes of David Silva, Cesc Fabregas and Isco preferred.
Meanwhile, Juan Mata, Santi Cazorla and Fernando Torres have also all missed out on a place in the squad, leading the way for a number of other names to emerge and help La Roja overcome their disappointment in Brazil two years ago.
