Premier League champions Leicester City took to the streets in a bus parade for their fans to glimpse the team and trophy.

After starting the season as 5,000-1 outsiders for the title, Leicester defied the odds in stunning fashion and being hailed by a crowd estimated by the local council at almost a quarter of a million was a fitting finale for Ranieri s squad and the club s Thai chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who soaked up the celebrations with his family. That was the cue for the fireworks to kick off as the most unlikely champions in the history of the league revelled in the glory of incredible triumph.

Jamie Vardy spearheaded the King Power Stadium outfit’s success this term with 24 league goals and Leicester’s star striker described their title parade as “carnage”.

“It was a hard match but we wanted to enjoy and wanted to win”.

There are rumours city rock band Kasabian will also play a set after the players leave the specially built stage in the park, where the celebrations are set to continue into the evening.

Vardy and his teammate Danny Drinkwater have even more to celebrate after they were named in England’s 26-man provisional squad for Euro 2016, starting next month. It’s something special, a lot of people are happy.

“I think this is not only because the team won but because they played with heart and soul and the people understood this”.

Claudio Ranieri’s return to Stamford Bridge appropriately finished level 12 years to the day of his last match as Chelsea manager.

The Latics bounced back to the Championship at the first attempt after a strong second half of the season helped them to claim the title by two points. It’s insane. There are kids, granddads, parents, they’re all out to support us and say well done.

Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri said it was “unbelievable” the whole city had seemingly turned up to celebrate, according to the BBC.
