A popular brand of granola bars has announced a recall after the company learned one of the ingredients may be contaminated with listeria.

Quaker Oats Company, a subsidiary of PepsiCo has issued a voluntary recall of both varieties of Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars due to a Listeria monocytogenes scare.
The recall covers only Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars Chocolate Nut Medley and Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars Yogurt, Fruit & Nut Medley. Symptoms of Listeria monocytogenes include nausea, high fever, bad headaches, stomach pain, and diarrhea.
Heads-up if you have any of these recalled products in your pantry.
There is a bit of good news: most of the potentially contaminated bars never reached the grocery store shelves, and there haven’t been any reports of anyone getting sick from the bars yet – the company only issued the recall in an abundance of caution.
Pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are particularly at risk.
Anyone with these products at home should either throw them out or return them to the store for a refund.
Despite the recall, no illnesses have been reported associated with the consumption of these products.
Symptoms usually begin about three days after eating contaminated food but the illness can incubate and take as long as 70 days to cause symptoms.

Quaker said it does not believe any of its other products are affected at this time.
