Fitch warns of possible EU downgrades if UK leaves
Donald Trump has said he may not have a “very good relationship” with David Cameron if elected, and labelled London’s new mayor Sadiq Khan “ignorant”.

When asked about Britain’s membership of the EU, Trump said: “I’ve dealt with the European Union, it’s very, very bureaucratic, it’s very, very hard”.
Cameron’s feelings are probably not hurt.
The PM has refused to retract comments he made about Mr Trump’s proposed temporary ban on Muslims entering the U.S., a plan that caused controversy when it was suggested a year ago. Trump told Britain’s ITV television station in an interview aired on Monday, when asked how ties would fare if he won the USA presidential election on November 8.
“Well, number one, I’m not stupid, okay”.
The presumptive Republican candidate in the U.S. presidential election, Donald Trump, has called on Muslims to work with police and “turn people in”.
In the same interview, Trump said Britain wouldn’t be hurt “at all” in terms of trade negotiations with the United States if it exited the European Union.
Mr Cameron and Mr Khan stand by their comments, their spokespeople said. I can tell you that right now.
Respondents were then asked, If Britain did vote to leave the European Union, do you think it would have a positive or negative impact, or make no difference, on the EU’s economy?
“It looks like we are not going to have a very good relationship”, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee said.
The United States is Britain’s closest ally.
The spokesman added that the PM was “committed to maintaining the special relationship” whoever wins the presidential election in November.
On a more conciliatory note, Cameron has said Trump deserves respect for making it through the gruelling Republican primary process.
“Donald Trumps views are ignorant, divisive and unsafe? its the politics of fear at its worst and will be rejected at the ballot box just as it was in London”. The Times newspaper also reported last month Cameron had ordered diplomats to attempt to fix relations with Trump.
He also criticised the new Mayor of London Sadiq Khan for calling him “ignorant”.
“I hope to have a good relationship with him but it sounds like he’s not willing to address the problem either”, Trump told ITV.
Khan, who took office on May 9, has branded Trump “ignorant” on Islam and claimed the tycoon was making the world more unsafe by alienating mainstream Muslims.
“Let’s take an I.Q. test”, Trump said Monday, adding that Khan had never met him and “doesn’t know what I’m all about”.

“I think they were very rude statements and, frankly, tell him I will remember those statements”. They are vey rude statements. “I wished him well when I heard he won, he’s a Muslim, I think it’s ignorant for him to say that”.
