Pictures and videos flooded media outlets and social media websites as rumours that Ferguson could be trying to persuade Pochettino to replace Louis van Gaal at United began doing the rounds.
The Spurs gaffer looked sheepish as he was snapped with the Red Devils legend outside Scott’s Restaurant as Fergie slipped away into a waiting auto.
Mauricio Pochettino has placed his career in the sports market as highly-rated head coach in Europe after transforming his young squad into title contenders.
Spurs were relaxed on Tuesday night, despite anxieties among supporters.
Ferguson is known to be an admirer of Pochettino, who recently agreed to a new five-year-deal at Spurs. They have had so many over the years, but this lad has composure.
Former United manager Ferguson looked in good spirits as he left the meeting and got into a waiting auto, while Pochettino looked rather sheepish.
“The manager [Pochettino] has been fantastic”, he said back in March.
Tottenham are hopeful Mauricio Pochettino will sign a new contract before Sunday’s final game of the season at Newcastle.
“They have a bad record of managers, there is no doubt about that”.
