The former president, 91, tweeted a photo of himself Thursday sitting in a neck brace, flashing a smile and a double thumbs-up.

Bush spent four days at Maine Medical Center and doctors expect he’ll recover in as soon as three months. The tweet also included a picture of Bush giving two thumbs up.

Bush broke a bone in his neck after a fall at home earlier this month. His son George W. Bush, before he was president, was governor of the state, and used to be an executive with the baseball team the Texas Rangers.

Bush was a naval aviator in World War II, and his torpedo plane was shot down over the Pacific. He marked his 80th, 85th, 88th and 90th birthdays with dives.

Spokesman Jim McGrath stated that Bush was rushed to the hospitalized but he was in stable condition and was doing “fine” after the fall.

The elder Bush is expected to make a full recovery.
