The New ‘Ghostbusters’ Trailer Brings Back Your Favorite Bad Guy
Holding a device capable of amplifying supernatural activity across New York City, it is Saturday Night Live veteran Neil Casey that takes point as Rowan, a unusual and mysterious New Yorker that wants nothing more than to ensnare ghosts from beyond our realm for “a different objective”. “No one should have to encounter that kind of evil”, an unnamed big-wig (Michael McDonald) tells the crew. “I think you can handle it”. To be honest, it shows quite a bit – it shows Chris Hemsworth being possessed by a ghost and being naughty, as well as some new Ghostbusting tools – like Melissa McCarthy’s ghost dusting fist.

Some great character moments are here as well, including Erin’s (Kristen Wiig) “Get out of the city!” “I know it’s weird that they say ’30 years ago, ‘ but in this movie it’s like the first one didn’t happen”.
The trailer has been released officially on Facebook and Twitter, but not YouTube yet (the first trailer was one of the most disliked videos in YouTube history-ahem, sexists trolls-though that’s probably unrelated to this roll-out decision).

Ghostbusters, which is being directed by Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, Spy), will be released July 15. “That’s just a non-starter”.
