Check Out Poster Posse’s Fantastic ‘Captain America: Civil War’ Tribute Artwork
So far, Captain America: Civil War has earned $296 million in North America and $645 million overseas, which appears to indicate that “superhero fatigue” has been a bit overblown in the media. On the other hand, the Jodie Foster-directed “Money Monster” looks to put up solid numbers in its debut.

Disney also secured the second spot this week as The Jungle Book brought in $17.7 million, raising the total gross to over $310 million.
George Clooney and Julia Roberts’ Money Monster got off to a healthy start, securing third place with $15 million (£10.5 million). The movie brought in an estimated $5.18 million which is above the expected earning for this micro budgeted movie. Captain America: Civil War pulled in $179.1 million.
The biggest second-week draws were “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” with $149 million, “Jurassic World”, $106.6 million, “Marvel’s The Avengers“, $103.1 million, “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, $77.7 million, “Avatar”, $75.6 million, “The Dark Knight”, $75.2 million and “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”, $74.2 million.
The film generated sales of $72.6 million in the US and Canada this past weekend, and made $84.2 million in global sales, ComScore said.
Mother’s Day rounds out the top five and had a major drop from last week only grossing $3.3 million, raising the total to just under $30 million. Some analysts think the overall domestic box office will be as low as $200 million, while Movie Pilot argues that it will be the highest-grossing film in the X-Men franchise.
