Pellegrini wants Premier League stay

Sinclair does not believe Guardiola will be judged as harshly when he arrives in Manchester, with a top-flight title and matching City’s Champions League semi-final best likely to be enough to placate the board.

He said: “I don’t need to speak to him because he knows the players, and he has friends in this club who can tell him what he needs to find”. Personally, I feel privileged to have played every single game of the Premier League – actually I don’t know if I have done something like this before.

“We knew we had a great team but not good enough to earn (a win in the) semi-finals”, the Argentina global said.

“One of the most hard things this season after they announced the change, was the atmosphere inside the team”, Pellegrini said. However, a player of 19-years of age who scores such a large number of objectives and not playing all the diversions, I think has a splendid future.

“I will start thinking about the future but I don’t want to decide just in one week”.

“I don’t think he is especially lucky because in the last five seasons this team has always been in the Champions League and it was important this continued”. “I will see different options”.

With Manuel Pellegrini guiding City to a draw, United’s neighbors now sit three points ahead of Louis van Gaal’s club and although United have a game in hand, the best they could do is sit level on points as the goal differential will prove to be insurmountable.

While Pellegrini seeks fresh employment, Swansea manager Francesco Guidolin, fresh from being given an extended deal, will sit down for talks with club chairman Huw Jenkins in a bid to build on a 12th-place finish. I think he will do the same for us as well.
