Freed two years after capture by Boko Haram
But Nigeria’s military said it rescued the young woman and her baby, along with a Boko Haram suspect who claimed to be her husband.

The Nigerian government verified a photo of one of the school girls kidnapped from Chibok. She was 17 when she was abducted and is now 19 years old.
Under Buhari’s command and aided by Nigeria’s neighbours, the army has recaptured most territory once lost to Boko Haram but the group still regularly stages suicide bombings.
“The moment this girl was discovered by our vigilantes, she was brought to my house”.
The #BringBackOurGirls group said in a statement Wednesday that Amina had spoken with her mother and revealed that her classmates still remained behind in the Sambisa forest, which is considered as the fortress of Boko Haram extremist militant group.
There are conflicting reports on the girl’s name.
The BBC quoted Hosea Abana Tsambido, the chairman of the Chibok community in Abuja, as saying that Ms. Ali was found by the vigilantes after venturing into the forest to search for firewood.
Her uncle has described her as pregnant and traumatised but otherwise fine. “They were just about to sit exams”, she says.
But the young woman told her mother that some of the girls have died in captivity and that the others still are being held, according to her family’s doctor, Idriss Danladi, who had spoken with the mother.
It is reported that the rescued girl has been reunited with her family, but further information about her current condition is yet to be released. She was among 276 girls taken captive at the boarding school.
But the Nigerian schoolgirl was not alone. He said the country’s military would not be deterred in its efforts to rescue all civilians, including the Chibok girls, who were abducted by the Islamist group.
But the Chibok kidnapping remains their most infamous crime.

The kidnap of the girls gained global attention in April 2014 with the high profile Bring Back Our Girls campaign, as the Nigerian government came under intense criticism for its initial lax response to the abduction. Mario Ritter adapted it for VOA Learning English with material from AP.
