Sanders’ supporters were thrilled by his visit and said they were “feeling the Bern”.
Several “expect delays” warnings are posted around the Vallejo ferry terminal on Tuesday, warning commuters about the pending traffic snarls because of the Bernie Sanders rally Wednesday.
“Vallejo was very hard hit of course by its bankruptcy and then following by its financial crisis”, George said.
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is scheduled to hold a rally Wednesday at Waterfront Park, 298 Mare Island Way, in Vallejo as part of a swing through Northern California.
KRON4’S Rob Fladeboe had a one on one interview with Senator Sanders. “But more importantly, I know the American people will reject the basic tenants of what Donald Trump stands for”.
“Not since the Rainbow Coalition of 1988 have we seen such a diverse and progressive movement for the heart and soul of the Democratic Party”, Cedillo said.
“When Sanders noted that he had received nearly 8 million individual campaign donations, but leaving the average amount unspoken, the crowd called out “$27”. She says early on they had hoped Sanders would come to their city.
He was also supportive of a state ballot measure to legalize marijuana, now classified as a Schedule 1 drug that he said should be taken off of the list of federal controlled substances. “We’re the only civilized country in the world that doesn’t have it and we’re one of the richest”, Lambro said.
Doors open at 10 a.m. Saturday for the rally at Vado Elementary School, which is located at 330 Holguin Road.
Sanders has until the state’s primary election on June 7 to rally enough support to defy the odds. Will take stage in San Jose any minute. His campaign last week announced the creation of a Southern California steering committee led by Los Angeles City Councilman Gil Cedillo and former Councilman Robert Farrell. He also trails in the delegate count, 2,240-1,473, with 2,382 need to win the Democratic nomination.

“I usually do this for relaxation”, he said.
