Jaguars first-rounder Jalen Ramsey suffers knee injury
The Jacksonville Jaguars wouldn’t have any luck if not for the bad variety.

NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported Thursday that Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Jalen Ramsey suffered a knee injury that is being classified as a “small meniscus tear”. Last spring defensive end Dante Fowler, the third overall pick in the 2015 draft, tore his ACL during minicamp and sat out the entire season.
The team said the injury occured during on-field workouts and will obtain a second medical opinion next week.
This is the second straight year that the Jaguars have had their first round pick suffer a knee injury in mini-camp.
The offseason is unkind to Jaguars first-round picks.

Ramsey, the fifth overall pick in last month’s draft, has been training with the Jaguars’ veterans since the beginning of last week. I had heard about a rookie being injured and was told it was not one to be concerned with, so the Ramsey injury was clearly not the one I was told about. Ramsey was healthy enough in college that he started every game in all three of his seasons at Florida State.
