Louis Van Gaal Thanks Man Utd Fans For “Unconditional Support”
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has come out and said that the fans of Manchester United expect too much. After their 3-1 win over AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday, van Gaal addressed the fans in the team’s final home game but received mixed receptions.

“We have to play a cup game and that’s a very important game because there is a lot to fight for”.
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal goes into the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace on Saturday facing echoes of the 1990 showpiece between the two sides that proved so pivotal in the career of Alex Ferguson. It’s like that and that’s football.
“I am looking forward to next season under the new manager and hopefully we can make it a successful one”.
On Tuesday, man of the match Wayne Rooney gave United the lead with his 100th Premier League goal at Old Trafford, finishing off a superb team move from 12 yards.
As Bournemouths fans goaded him with chants of Youre getting sacked in the morning!, Van Gaal added: You never let us down.
“I have read that the last FA Cup was 2004 so it’s a long time ago, so also for Manchester United it’s a big title I think, especially as it was a long time ago”.
“It could be a bit different for England where I could still be the striker but probably next season that’s where I see myself playing”.
“I feel like I can dictate games more from there and try and control the tempo in games, which I felt I did quite well against Bournemouth”. Bournemouth, meanwhile, had to make a second 500-mile (800-kilometer) round trip in three days from the south coast to the north, and couldn’t even use its own training pitches in between times because they had been dug up in advance of preseason.
“With the millions and millions they have spent they should have qualified for the Champions League”. They can look and they can hold the cup and that is an exciting moment.
“We would have loved to finish the season on a high”, he said.

United finished the campaign with just 49 league goals to their name – their worst tally since 1989-90 – and despite decrying perceived poor fortune with penalties, Van Gaal could not disguise his team s attacking shortcomings. Speaking to Sky Sports, former Peter Schmeichel said: “We are one of those clubs that has been dragged in completely the wrong direction”.
