Cooperation between Russia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) will help maintain peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region, said Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Nguyen Thanh Son.

“I am deeply convinced that that this jubilee summit will promote further strengthening of multifaceted cooperation between ASEAN and Russian Federation and pave the way for strategic partnership between the two sides”, the Thai foreign minister said.
During his stay in Sochi, President U Htin Kyaw is expected to meet the Russian leadership on the sidelines of the event and touch upon promotion of bilateral relations.
