The event begins at 6 p.m. with a Survivor Walk, and the Luminaria Ceremony to honor and remember those who have had cancer begins at dusk.

The Relay For Life movement is the world’s largest fundraising event to fight every cancer in every community.

“The support and friendship that is built in this community event is wonderful to experience”, Turpin said. I really wish that there was no need for any of these services anymore, but that doesn’t seem to be in the future right now.

Cancer is something we can’t ignore as 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.

The event begins with a 10 a.m. opening ceremony, and the public is welcome to stop by, cheer on their favorite teams, and participate in fundraisers being held on-site.

– Survivors and Caregivers Lap, immediately following the opening ceremony.
