Trump on Bullying: ‘You Gotta Get Over It’
Kelly didn’t delve into policy issues, the Guardian notes, but the pair discussed personal issues including the death of Trump’s alcoholic older brother, Fred.

In an interview on Fox broadcasting airing Tuesday, Trump claimed that “you would be amazed at the [tweets] I don’t retweet”. Kelly asked if he regretted any of his comments about Sen. “I’ve been saying throughout this campaign that I’m a counter-puncher”. In a new clip from the special, Trump says he was never bullied and doesn’t consider himself to be a bully, merely a “counterpuncher”. But in just about all cases, I’ve been responding to what they did to me.
“The thing that gets me in trouble is the retweets”, Trump said. He told Kelly he put more time and work into his businesses and not as much into his relationships, which is why they failed. “If I had been soft, I had been “presidential”, if I had not hit back, I don’t think I would have been successful”.

He made the comment in an interview excerpt, saying, “If I could get through this debate, with those questions, you can get through anything”. Because as you know as journalist you don’t want to be the story – you want to tell the story.
The dispute flared again in January when Trump skipped a Fox News debate because Kelly was slated to moderate it.
In an interview with Time magazine posted online last week, the Fox News personality said it was not easy for her to hold back while being attacked by Trump relentlessly, but it was important to remain professional. “I have no respect for her. I don’t think she’s very good”.
“Donald Trump is a lot of things”, Kelly said. And while there’s no doubt Kelly’s has become a household name this election season, she’s adamant that Trump isn’t cause of her success.
Kelly asked Trump who actually does all of his tweeting on Twitter.
But Trump also said he decided that getting through that first debate meant he could get through anything on the campaign trail, adding, “In a certain way, what you did might’ve been a favor”.
An unnamed writer called Trump to commend him on what he’s accomplished thus far.

“Uhhh, well, that was a retweet, yeah”, Donald Trump said in an interview televised on Tuesday night.
