(AP) Prosecutors say they’ve dropped a battery charge against Buffalo Bills offensive line coach Aaron Kromer, who was accused of punching a boy in the face for using his beach chairs in Florida.

A pretrial hearing for Kromer was set for September 2 after he pleaded not guilty to the battery charge, per Rodak.
The victims’ parents sent written letters to the state attorney’s office requesting the charges be dropped after the two sides reached an “amicable resolution”.
Though the Bills announced Meyer was hired as a football operations consult on Friday, Ryan said the hiring actually took place in June. Assistant offensive line coach Kurt Anderson has been expected to assume Kromer’s duties until his legal issues are resolved.
The Bills placed Kromer on paid administrative leave on July 14, and head coach Rex Ryan said Friday that another assistant was overseeing offensive linemen as training camp opened.
He then threw the kids’ fishing poles into the water and threatened to kill the victim’s family if the incident were reported to police, according to the report. Kromer’s son Zachary was also charged and that charge was also dismissed.

Kromer previously coached with the New Orleans Saints (2008-12), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2005-07) and Oakland Raiders (2001-04).
