Colorado mom faces charges after threatening video posted
The woman who recorded the video is also facing an abuse charge for not preventing the incident.

Sue added that she uploaded the video to Facebook after she felt the police were not acting fast enough to take the child away.
“She kept going on and on that ‘I’m, you know, I’m a good mother, ‘ and I said this is not being a good mother”, the woman whose identity is kept anonymous told Denver Channel.

Kennedy-Flores was arrested Wednesday night after the disturbing video ignited public outrage. The Weld County District Attorney’s Office said Thursday that they planned to charge Flores Kennedy with child abuse-knowingly/recklessly causing bodily injury, child abuse-permitted a child to be placed in situation posing a threat, and attempted child abuse-knowingly/recklessly causing bodily injury.
Denver7 Investigates has contacted multiple agencies charged with protecting children.
The woman didn’t interfere when the incident happened as she is disabled. To protect the confidentiality of children and families potentially involved, and in accordance with Colorado statute, we can not comment further.
The uploader went on to explain that the mother seen abusing her 2-year-old in the viral video is suffering from mental health disorders and in desperate need of help.
“I wish I had called 911 but me and him were terrified, we were scared”, she said.
The mother should have a very hard time getting her child back.
Kennedy told police that the child was in the custody of Denver Human Services.
Police have not identified the person arrested, but KDVR reported that it was the child’s mother.

The boy’s father just learned about the video this week, and is trying get custody of his son, according to KMGH.
