Samsung’s next Android flagships may have 6GB of RAM
However, it remains to be determined if that device will be the Galaxy Note 6. With the Galaxy Note 6 rumored to debut in August this year, there’s no telling if Samsung will be able to get both the iris scanner and the 6 GB RAM chip ready for primetime within the small timeframe.

Samsung took the wraps off its latest DRAM chip for mobile devices, and it could well grace the upcoming Galaxy Note 6 powerhouse.
According to a report by PhoneArena, Samsung held the Samsung Mobile Solutions Forum event in China yesterday and launched the new LPDDR4 6GB DRAM chip that has been made with the 10nm process. According to noted tipster Evan Blass, the Galaxy Note 6 will hit the USA store shelves in the week of August 15th.
Now it seems that the Note 6 will be the first consumer device from Samsung to feature its LPDDR4 6GB DRAM, it will also end up in the Galaxy S8 but that was sort of a given.
Looking at Samsung’s strategy so far, in previous years, the Galaxy Note series has generally packed the latest hardware and software available at the time, generally staying one step ahead of the Galaxy S series. However, carrier-locked devices being updated late is already a norm in a major Android roll-out.
The same can be said for a number of Galaxy Note 4 users, but that is understandable given that the phablet was released in 2014.
Either way, not a whole lot is known at the moment about Samsung’s patent filing in the European Union, barring the fact that the company recently filed to register the “Samsung Iris” and “Samsung Eyeprint” trademarks in the continent. The device will come with a 5.8-inches Quad HD screen, and it is possible there will be a Galaxy Note 6 Edge variant too with a curved OLED screen.

The promotional images reveal the clearest images we have seen of the smartphone so far and show the silver model from every single angle possible. The phone is called the Samsung Galaxy C5, where the “C” apparently stands for “Copy”, and the leaked images were published on Friday by Tencent Digital.
