Trump gets endorsement of National Rifle Association

Instead of detailing his own positions on gun-rights issues at a political forum attended by thousands of NRA members, Trump told the crowd that Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton would “abolish the 2nd Amendment” and then release violent criminals from prison, not caring that innocent citizens would be unable to protect themselves. And now it supports Trump himself, officially endorsing him for president on Friday at an NRA event in Kentucky.

“People are allowed to carry, we have a comprehensive guidance on our website and as always, we encourage people to be aware of whatever local, state and federal ordinances may apply”, Andrew Arulanandam said, a public affairs representative for the NRA.

While Trump presented himself as a fierce defender of the Second Amendment on Friday, the NY billionaire has not always been such a staunch advocate of the right to bear arms. We know it would be a “haven” for Hollywood elites who plot the “destruction of our Second Amendment”.

Trump was welcomed warmly as he received the endorsement, promising: “I will not let you down.”We’re getting rid of gun-free zones, OK?”

On the San Bernardino terrorist attack, he said, “if we had guns on the other side [of the attack], it wouldn’t have been that way …boom”, he said, before pledging to abolish gun-free zones.

Trump’s earlier stances continue to make some gun control opponents nervous. And The Donald returned the favor by embracing its hardline policies, calling Hillary Clinton a “dictator” and promising to undo President Obama’s executive orders aimed at reducing gun violence.

Drawing a sharp contrast with Trump, the former secretary of state is set to speak at the Trayvon Martin Foundation in Florida Saturday, a gun-safety advocacy group named after the unarmed African American teen shot dead by a neighborhood watch volunteer in 2012.

There’s more good news for Donald Trump in the way of endorsements.

– Philip Bump (@pbump) May 20, 2016 Trump: My sons have so many guns, “sometimes even I get a little concerned”.

“You know the press used to call them masterminds.

To get the endorsement is a great honor”, said Republican presumptive presidential nominee Donald Trump.

“If Hillary Clinton gets the opportunity to replace Antonin Scalia with an anti-gun Supreme Court justice, we will lose the individual right to keep a gun in the home for self-defense”, Cox said.

He also challenged Mrs Clinton to follow his lead and release a list of potential Supreme Court nominees.
